‘Lawmen or foreign force behind Aminur disappearance’

DHAKA: Bangladesh Jatiya Manobadhikar Samity, a pro-BNP platform, formed a human chain demanding whereabouts of secretary general of Bangladesh Kalyan Party MM Aminur Rahman who went missing on August 27.

Founder of Gonosastya Kendra Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury and Kalyan Party chairman Maj Gen (retd) Syed Mohammad Ibrahim Birpratik joined the human chain formed in front of the National Press Club in the city on Monday (September 25).  

President of Bangladesh Jatiya Manobadhikar Samity presided over the program, while Bangladesh NAP secretary general M Golam Mustafa Bhuiyan also spoke it, among others.

Zafrullah Chowdhury said that Aminur Rahman was disappeared by neither the law enforcing agencies of Bangladesh nor the Indian intelligence force ‘RAW’. He demanded safe return of the Kalyan Party leader.

He said that over ten thousand people are in detention in the country’s jails as political prisoners. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s dream of wining Nobel Laureate won’t be implemented if the political prisoners are not released and the disappeared men are not returned. Because these are the crimes against humanity, said Zafrullah Chowdhury.    

Syed Mohammad Ibrahim said that they suspect the quarter behind disappearance of Aminur Rahman the people suspect them. He urged the government to trace the Kalyan Party leader.  

Aminur Rahman went missing on August 27 after he left Nayapaltan at around 10:00 pm for his home close to Rural Electrification Office at Aminbazar area in Savar.
