TANGAIL: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the next parliamentary election must be held under poll-time supportive government as his party proposed to EC.
He came up with the remark after placing floral wreath at Mawlana Bhasani’s tomb on the occasion of his 41st death anniversary in Tangail’s Santosh on Friday morning (Nov 17).
Fakhrul said supportive government is a must for fair and acceptable polls where all parties can participate. Otherwise, BNP will be compelled to go for movements.
Directing party men to unite for movements, Fakhrul said, “I am urging everyone to participate in the movement so that people can exercise their franchise.”
BNP chairperson's advisor Shamsuzzaman Dudu, central Juba Dal general secretary Sultan Salahuddin, district BNP president Shamsul Alat Tofa and general secretary Farhad Iqbal among others were also present during that time.
