Minnesota United handed Inter Miami a heavy 4-1 defeat in a Major League Soccer clash held in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair made a crucial save as Inter Miami’s Leo Afonso pressed forward in the second half. 

Lionel Messi, despite being tightly marked by defender Nicolás Romero, managed to find the back of the net for Miami during the latter stages of the game. 

He later celebrated the goal alongside teammate Jordi Alba.

However, Minnesota dominated the match with a commanding performance. 

Robin Lod ignited celebrations after scoring in the second half, while Anthony Markanich found the net earlier and celebrated his contribution with visible enthusiasm. 

Defender Michael Boxall also added his name to the scoresheet, bolstering Minnesota’s impressive showing.

The match was physically intense from the outset, highlighted by a first-half collision involving Robin Lod, Benjamin Cremaschi, and Sergio Busquets. 

Minnesota’s Jefferson Díaz showcased his athleticism by leaping high to contest a ball in the second half, further underlining the home team’s dominance over the struggling visitors.
