Three people were killed in a motorcycle accident on the Satkhira-Khulna highway in Satkhira Sadar upazila early Thursday (Nov 7).

The victims have been identified as Arizul Gazi, 28, from Jhikargacha upazila in Jashore; Asadul Islam Fakir, 55, from Tala upazila in Satkhira; and Abdus Selim, 35, also from Tala upazila.

Sub-Inspector Biswajit Sarkar of Sadar Police Station said that a speeding truck struck a motorbike in the Binerpota BSCIC area, leaving the motorcyclist and his two passengers dead on the spot.

The bodies were retrieved and sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for autopsy, after which they will be released to the families. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident yet, Sarkar added.
