Bangladesh recalls embassy officials from five foreign missions

The government has recalled five officials from Bangladesh missions in five countries, instructing them to return home for reappointment.

A recent circular issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting named the officials as Mohammad Taiyeb Ali, Counselor (Press) at the High Commission of Bangladesh in Islamabad, Pakistan; Sufi Abdullahil Maruf, First Secretary (Press) at the High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Mohammad Arifur Rahman, First Secretary (Press) at the Consulate General in Dubai, UAE; Asaduzzaman Khan, Second Secretary (Press) at the Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and Mohammad Imranul Hasan, Second Secretary (Press) at the Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.

The circular instructed the officials to report back to Bangladesh within 15 working days for further assignments. 

These officials were previously serving under the press wings of Bangladesh missions abroad.
