Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a storm warning for 10 regions, including Dhaka, as winds of up to 60 km/h may hit the area.
The met office on Sunday (April 6) evening in its report said that temporary strong winds, rain, and thunder could affect the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Faridpur, Dhaka, Tangail, and Comilla.
The affected river ports in these areas have been advised to raise signal No. 1.
According to met office, Dhaka and its surrounding areas includes the possibility of thunderstorm rains, with winds from the north or northwest at speeds of 10 to 15 km/h, potentially reaching 40 to 50 km/h.
