Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast mainly dry weather with temporary partly cloudy skies across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00am on Tuesday (May 6).
However, isolated rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds are likely over a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions, as well as at one or two locations in Dhaka and Sylhet divisions, and in Kushtia, Jashore, and Cumilla regions, the BMD said in its morning bulletin.
Daytime temperatures may fall slightly in Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions but could rise slightly elsewhere in the country. Night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
The highest temperature recorded on Monday was 36.8 degrees Celsius in Baghabari, Rajshahi division, while the lowest, 21.4 degrees Celsius, was recorded on Tuesday morning in Tetulia, Rangpur division.
In Dhaka, sunset is expected at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, with sunrise at 5:20 am on Wednesday.
