DHAKA: A teenager allegedly committed suicide in Gajamahal area under Hajaribagh area of the capital on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Basir, 14, son of Abdur Rahman, hailed from Nariya upazila of Shariyatpur district.

Father of the deceased Abdur Rahman told banglanews that Basir hanged himself in the noon when he was out of home.

“On information, I rushed at home and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctor pronounced him dead,” he said.

Answering in which reason his son might die, Abdur Rahman told that his son left school earlier and was not engaged with any work. “I have no idea, what is behind his suicide,” he said.
