The Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge's Court has scheduled April 20 for the submission of investigation reports in three cases filed against former Cumilla lawmaker AKM Bahauddin Bahar, his wife Meherunnesa, daughter Tahseen Bahar Suchona, and former Cumilla City Mayor.

The cases, filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday, involve allegations of amassing illegal wealth. Bahauddin is accused of acquiring assets worth Tk 67 crore through corruption during his tenure as a lawmaker, and of transferring Tk 258 crore through suspicious transactions. 

His daughter, Suchona, is accused of acquiring assets worth Tk 3 crore in an illicit manner. 

Meherunnesa is alleged to have attempted to legitimize the family's illegal wealth by falsely presenting herself as a businesswoman in tax returns.
