DHAKA: Ruling Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam categorically said that killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina will be brought back in the country and also be produced before the court.

He made the vow to the media after paying tribute to the graves of the martyrs of August 15 at Banani Graveyard in city on Saturday.

However, nation is observing the day as ‘National Mourning Day’.

‘The killers of Bangabandhu, wherever they are staying now, will be brought back in the country for trial and the verdicts will be executed,’ he said.

According to him, their efforts in this regard will continue.

Mentioning August 15 a ‘black and scandalous day’ for the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the AL leader expected that this sort tragic incident should not be repeated.

Upholding the country’s gradual economic progress, Syed Ashraf said that they should work together irrespective of creeds to reach the goal of a developed nation.
