JHENAIDAH: Police arrested 75 people including nine members of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Shibir from six upazilas of the district.

The law enforcers conducted the drive from Saturday night (December 3) to Sunday morning (December 4).

Jhenaidah additional superintendent of police Azbahar Ali Sheikh confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The Jamaat-Shibir men were arrested from Kotchandpur upazila while 32 accused held from Sadar upazila, seven from Shailkupa, five from Harinakunda, 14 from Kaliganj, seven from Maheshpur and DD police arrested a person.

The arrestees would be sent to jail through court after primary interrogation.
