NARAYANGANJ: Election Commission (EC) will ensure tight security inside the centers as well as outside during the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) polls.

Election Commissioner Jabed Ali was talking to journalists after visiting several polling centers in Narayanganj around 11:00 am.

He further said only the voters will be allowed to enter the curtained booths.

“Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), police and Ansar will be deployed in the polling center areas to ensure level playing field for all the candidates,” he added.

The election commissioner also requested all the seven mayoral runners to abide by the electoral code of conducts during their campaign.

Mentioning that they did not receive any allegation of misconduct till then, Jabed Ali further said that the EC has been working relentlessly to ensure a fair city corporation election.
