NARAYANGANJ: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir remarked that democracy will be established if people vote to ‘sheaf of paddy’ in upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation election.

The senior leader came up with this assertion while taking to media in the meantime of party campaign supporting party candidate Shakhawat Hossain in the election.

The future of next election in the country depends on the result of the NCC polls, he added.

Mirza Fakhrul also alleged that the incumbent government harassed the opposite beliefs people with fake cases. The situation can only be changed establishing democracy.

However, BNP standing committee member and NCC election main coordinator Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and joint secretary general Moazzem Hossain Alal were, among others, also present in the campaign.
