DHAKA: Like previous years, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has invited Awami League’s president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to join her Iftar party scheduled for June 5.

A BNP delegation handed over the invitation letter at Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office in the capital city on Wednesday noon (May 31).

BNP’s assistant organizing secretary Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, assistant office secretaries Taiful Islam Tipu and Belal Ahmed, and Dhaka city unit leader Rafiqul Islam Rasel were in the delegation.

AL’s assistant secretary Sikander Ali received the invitation letter on behalf of Sheikh Hasina.

AL general secretary Obaidul Quader and other ruling party leaders have also been invited in the Iftar party of Khaleda Zia to be held at the Basundhara International Convention Centre (BICC) in the city.

The BNP chief will host the Iftar party in honour of political leaders of the country.
