DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fed and caressed orphans and physically-challenged children in her own hands at an Iftar party on Saturday (June 03).

The PM hosted the Iftar party for war-wounded freedom fighters, orphans, physically-challenged children and alem-ulema (Islamic scholars) at her official residence Ganobhaban in the capital city.

Sheikh Hasina placed two children on both sides of her chair at the stage of Iftar party.

Alongside taking her Iftar, the PM repeatedly caressed the two children and enquired their condition. At one stage, she got up from the chair and fed them.

Before Iftar, Sheikh Hasina went round different tables set for the guests, and exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their wellbeing.

Before the Iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.
