BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi accused the Indian government of installing barbed wire fences in 160 locations along the Bangladesh border with the support of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He made the remarks on Monday (Jan 13) morning during a prayer event at BNP's central office in Nayapaltan, organized by the BNP-backed Nationalist Rickshaw Van-Auto Rickshaw Workers Association to pray for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Rizvi alleged that from 2010 to 2023, Sheikh Hasina allowed India to gain numerous advantages at the expense of Bangladesh's sovereignty.
He claimed India ignored international protocols and bilateral agreements, which prohibit development activities within 150 yards of the zero line, by constructing fences unilaterally.
