DHAKA: Prime Minister also Awami League President Sheikh Hasina paid rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking historic 6-point day Wednesday (June 7).
Sheikh Hasina accompanied with some top leaders of Awami League placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu memorial museum in Dhanmondi, at around 8:30 in the morning.
Later, other leaders and activists of different associate bodies of Awami League paid rich tributes by placing wreaths.
Awami League Presidium members Begum Matia Chowdhury, Dr Abdur Razzak, Muhammad Faruk Khan and Advocate Abdul Mannan Khan, advisory council members Mozaffar Hossain Paltu and Mukul Bose , Secretary general Obaidul Quader, Joint general secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Dipu Moni, Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Abdur Rahman, Organizing secretaries Ahmed Hossain, Enamul Haque Shameem, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and Barrister Mohibul Haque Naofel and Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap were among others present there.
