DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the Election Commission (EC) is meticulously crafting a blueprint to help putting the ruling Awami League government in power again.

He made the comment at BNP officer in city’s Nayapaltan area on Tuesday (July 18) in a formal response on the electoral roadmap released by EC earlier. 

Fakhrul said publishing the electoral roadmap before ensuring an election-time supportive government is part of a bigger plan. The election commission has utterly failed create a level-playing-field for all political parties. The roadmap is useless as no opposition party is getting scope. 

BNP standing committee member Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed among others were present at the time.
