DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad said that it is humiliating to stay in the cabinet. “If the Prime Minister allows, Jatiya Party will leave the cabinet,” he said.

He said these at a press conference at the party’s Banani office in the city on Thursday (Aug 03)

Ershad said, “The Prime Minister honored me with the ‘envoy’ post. She was informed about resignation. She wanted to inform me about that. Before that, I do not want to dishonor her by resigning.”

Mentioning from observations of the Supreme Court verdict on 16th amendment to the Constitution, he said that they have been upset after release of the apex court’s full verdict. There is no good governance in the country, he said.
