BARISAL: Police detained three leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, including Barisal city unit nayebe ameer and general secretary, from Alekanda area in the city on Sunday afternoon (August 06).

The detainees- nayebe ameer Md. Bajlur Rahman Bacchu, general secretary Jahir Uddin Mohammad Babor and another leader- Saidur Rahman are accused in several cases.  

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kotwali Model Police Station Abdul Kuddus said that detainees were caught based on cases filed against them.
