DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader feared that the country will fall into a terrific situation if BNP again goes to power.

Quader was addressing a discussion marking National Mourning Day, at Institute of Engineers-Bangladesh (IEB) auditorium, organized by Awami Jubo League Saturday (August 19).

“BNP is planning to plot again. If they return to power, situation would be more horrific than that of 2001.”

Suggesting everyone to remain alert, he said: “They (BNP) are hatching plots accompanied with Jamaat. We all should keep our senses careful.” 

The senior Awami League leader made the bold remarks, however, assuring that any recurrence of 2001 or plot would be foiled with support of people.
