DHAKA: Awami League presidium member Mohammad Nasim has commented that the Awami League does not do politics over natural disaster, like flood.
He made the comment while speaking at a discussion meeting at the Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital in the capital city on Saturday (August 20).
The program was organized to mark the National Mourning Day.
Mohammad Nasim, also the Health and Family Welfare Minister, said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has visited the flood-hit areas. Larders and activists of the ruling party are working to help them. We don’t do politics over food.”
Director of the hospital Dr. Uttam Kumar Barua presided over the meeting, while Awami League’s health and population affairs secretary Dr. Robeya Sultana also addressed it, among others.
