NARAYANGANJ: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has expressed his hopes that the Eid journey of commuters this time will be hassle free as a result of prior preparation in this regard.

The minister expressed the hopes during his visit to Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Meghna Toll Plaza at Sonargoan upazila in Narayanganj on Thursday (August 24).

He visited the area to observe the traffic jam situation on the highway.

Obaidul Quader claimed that the commuters did not face immense sufferings in the last Eid. The Eid journey this time will be hassle free.

Obaidul Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League, said that heavy vehicles like trucks, lorries and covered vans will not be allowed to ply on the roads during Eid.
