NOAKHALI: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has advised of avoiding the extreme politics and urged for doing the politics of patriotism.      

He made the advice on Saturday (September 02) while talking to the devotees after the congregation of Eid-ul-Azha at his constituency at Peshkarhat Eidgah of Bashurhat municipality at Companiganj in Noakhali.

Obaidul Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said that the politics of patriotism has to be promoted to free the society from militancy, extremism, terrorism and drug.

After the Eid Jamaat, the minister sacrificed animal for Eid-ul-Azha at his ancestral home at Bashurhat municipality. Later, he exchanged greetings with leaders and activists of his party at his village residence.

Obaidul Quader also visited graves of noted persons of the area and offered fateha there.
