KUSHTIA: Two people were killed and at least 10 others were injured in a clash among two rival groups of Awami League in Kushtia Thursday (September 7).
The incident took place at Bakhil village under Jhaudia union in Kushtia sadar upzila in the noon.
The deceased were identified as—Billal, 32, and Enamul, 35.
Police said that the clash erupted between the followers of Jhaudia union parishad chairman Keramat Ullah and former chairman Bakhtiar Rahman, over establishing supremacy in the area, leaving Billal and Enamul killed besides 10 others were injured.
On information, police rushed to the spot and took the situation under control.
However, it could not be known immediately that which groups the deceased belonged to.
