DHAKA: Prime Minister also Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has reached Suhrawardy Udyan to address the grand rally under the banner of Nagorik Committee, to celebrate the recognition to Bangabandhu’s March 7 speech by UNESCO.

Sheikh Hasina reached the venue at around 2:38pm Saturday (November 18).

She will address the rally as the chief guest.

The rally is being presided over by Dhaka University (DU) Emeritus Professor Dr Anisuzzaman while Ramendu Mazumder and Dr Nuzhat Chowdhury are in moderation. 

Professor Rafiqul Islam, Shaheedjaya Shyamoli Nasin Chowdhury, Samakal editor Golam Sarwar and the UNESCO ambassador also chief to Bangladesh are among the others to address the rally.

Poet Nirmalendu Goon and Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzman Noor will recite poems.

However, UNESCO recognized the historic March 7 Speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahamn as part of world's documentary heritage on October 31.
