The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is expected to resume later this week following a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, allowing the tournament to move forward after its recent suspension.

A report released on Tuesday morning stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is actively discussing plans to restart the league and complete the remaining matches as soon as possible.

The PSL was placed on hold alongside the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to rising tensions between the two nations. With the IPL set to resume on May 17, the PCB is now making preparations to restart its own T20 franchise competition.

The PSL’s restart date remains undecided, but the tournament faces significant challenges.

Many overseas players left Pakistan due to security concerns, disrupting team rosters and forcing franchises into uncertainty.

To restore balance and maintain competitive integrity, the PCB may arrange an additional draft to recruit foreign players.

With only eight matches remaining, PSL officials must also navigate logistical hurdles.

Top-tier cricketers are already engaged in either the IPL or PSL, limiting the pool of available replacements.

Additionally, broadcasting contracts expire on May 18, complicating the league’s production logistics.

The final match of PSL 10 is still scheduled for May 18, as per the existing timetable.
