MYMENSINH: A youth was killed in a road accident when he came to greet religious affairs minister Principle Matiur Rahman on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway of the district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Jamal, 26.

Officer-in-Charge of Trishal Thana Firoj Talukder told banglanews that Jamal was rammed by a bus near Churkhai area around 2.30pm while he was in a motorcycle rally at Trishal upazila for welcoming the minister.

Later, critically injured Jamal was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where on duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
