CHITTAGONG: An official of The International Finance Investment and Commerce (IFIC) Bank Monday morning committed suicide in Lalkhan Bazar area under Khulshi Thana of the district.

The deceased was identified as M Hirak, 28, a contractual official of IFIC Bank and son of late Nurul Azam, hailed from Baghbona Mosque area of the thana.

Sources said Hirak committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling inside his room.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

Sub-Inspector Kawsar Alam Buiyan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
