The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka today organized an event to observe Youm-e-Tashakur, celebrating Pakistan’s resounding victory in Operation Bunyaan-um-Marsoos and Marka-e-Haq.
The event paid rich tributes to the Armed Forces of Pakistan and the resilient people of the country for safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity against open aggression.
The gathering offered special prayers for the martyrs of armed forces and for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the nation. Messages from the President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, were read out on the occasion.
In their messages, the leadership of Pakistan expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for the glorious victory of the nation and lauded the unparalleled sacrifices, valor, and professionalism of the Armed Forces of Pakistan. They paid glowing tributes to the brave sons of the soil and the military leadership for their unwavering commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty and dignity.
The Chancery building of the High Commission was also illuminated on the occasion.
