In a move aimed at fostering national unity, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is set to engage in a dialogue with leaders of major political parties Wednesday (December 4) afternoon.

The meeting will take place at the Foreign Service Academy at 4 pm, according to Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser.

Speaking to the press earlier, Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, revealed that Dr. Yunus has also extended invitations to leaders of religious groups for a separate dialogue on Thursday.

The goal of these meetings is to promote unity among Bangladesh’s political and social groups. "The main aim of the two meetings is forging national unity. He (the chief adviser) will call for national unity," he added.

Earlier last night, Dr Yunus met with leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka. Discussing the significance of national unity, Alam emphasized its urgency, particularly in light of recent misinformation campaigns targeting Bangladesh in the Indian media. "We must resist the misinformation campaign together," he urged.

The upcoming dialogue is seen as a critical step toward bridging political divides and ensuring collective efforts in addressing national challenges.
