DHAKA: State Minister of Labour and Employment affairs Advocate Mujibul Haque Chunnu on Saturday said an act would be formulated to issue appointment letter to the domestic help.
The labour minister made the assertion while addressing a discussion meeting at the National Press Club in the evening.
He told his audience that it would ensure their human rights along with confirming timely pay and weekend as well.
Human rights activists and administration officials have been awarded there on the occasion of the Independence Day organized by the Bangladesh Center for Legal Assistance Foundation, Ain Sohayota Kendro.
Mujibul Haque Chunnu observed that often the domestic helps are tortured and to protect them it is necessary to formulate the law. “We shall place a bill in this connection at the assembly.”
