DHAKA: After the removal of additional police, water cannon and police van on early Monday, six vehicles of Chairperson’s Security Force (CSF) have been placed surrounding BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan political office.

The vehicles of CSF, the private security force of Khaleda Zia, took position there around 3:15am to ensure her security.

Earlier, the additional police, water cannon and police van have been removed around 2:50am and seven police members led-by a Sub-Inspector are seen guarding there. 

BNP Chairperson’s press wing officer Shamsuddin Didar confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier from January 3, Khaleda has been staying at her office and two days after her confinement there, she called for a nationwide blockade for an indefinite period.

The declaration came protesting the government bar for her to join a pre-scheduled rally marking January 5, the first anniversary of the parliamentary election in 2014, as ‘Democracy Killing Day’.
