DHAKA: A group of snatchers attacked on Rebeka Sultana, wife of Nazimuddin Bhuiyan, a brother of liberation war affairs minister AKM Mozammel Huq, on Dhaka University campus in the city Monday noon.

Rebeka said that she was going to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) by a rickshaw to see her sister admitted there. Two persons riding on a motorcycle snatched her vanity-bag on the road adjacent to Shamsunnahar Hall of Dhaka University.

Locals rescued her as she fell down on the road and brought her to DMCH, she added.

She further said that Tk 70,000 and gold ornaments were kept in the bag.

Confirming the matter, DMCH camp sub-inspector (SI) Sentu Chandra Das told banglanews that the victim introduced herself as wife of Nazimuddin Bhuiyan, brother of liberation war affairs minister.
