DHAKA: Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker commented that not only the safety of an individual, security of the state is now questionable.

He made this comment to the media after handing over a memorandum to the home minister at the secretariat in city on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, the pro-liberation youth forum organized the program as a protest of killing of bloggers, publishers and writers.

Not only the safety of individuals, but the overall security of the state has been threatened due to the militant activities, Sarker added.

According to the forum leader, the government has assured the safety of writers, but no proof is seen yet.

After the meeting with the home boss, he said that government’s failure to nab militants and indifferent attitude to militancy indicate that the government is sheltering the attackers.

‘However, we want to be optimistic. That’s why we have shown our concern to the home minister regarding the murders of bloggers, publishers, writers and progressive people.’
