DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that the incumbent government has failed to protect its people.

She said: “The murder of lawmaker Manjurul Islam Liton from Gaibandha-1 constituency proves that the government has failed to ensure people’s safety.”

He came up with the assertion on Monday (January 2) after placing floral wreath at the grave of Ziaur Rahman to mark the founding anniversary of Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of BNP.

JCD president Rajib Ahsan, general secretary Akramul Hasan and others were present here.
