RU (RAJSHAHI): Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists detained four leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, from Shahid Habibur Rahman Hall of Rajshahi University and handed over to police early Tuesday (January 31).

The detainees were: Shibir president and Philosophy department student Abu Jafar, general secretary and student of social work department Saiful Islam, finance secretary and Islamic Studies student Enamul Huq and Sociology department student Abdul Alim.

Witness said RU branch BCL president Golam Kibria and general secretary Foysal Ahmed Runu held four Shibir leaders from the hall and handed over to Motihar Thana police around 2:30 am.

Motihar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
