SIRAJGANJ: A district court issued arrest warrant against 40 BNP leaders and activists including, central party leader Saidur Rahman Bachchu and zila BNP joint secretary Rashedul Hasan Ranjan.

Senior judicial magistrate of the court Morshed Alam passed the order on Sunday (February 5) noon.

Court Inspector Md. Shahidullah informed the matter to Banglanews.

On January 31 in 2015, one businessman Ganesh Dash was killed in a petrol bomb attack in Ramgati area during hartal enforced by the BNP-led 20-party.

Following the incident, a case was filed accusing 129 BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists, including 30 unknown people.

The investigating officer Rafiqul Islam on June 30, 2016 submitted charge-sheet against 130 BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists.
