GAIBANDHA: Police arrested Shamsuzzoha Sarkar, personal secretary (PS) of former Jatiya Party MP of Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) Col (retd) Dr. Abdul Kader Khan, in connection with a case filed over MP Liton murder.

Gaibandha Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Faruk Ahmed confirmed the matter to the Banglanews on Sunday noon (March 05). 

He said based on recorded confessions of four accused in the court, PS Shamsuzzoha was arrested from Noldanga Bazar area of Sadullahpur in the early hours on Sunday.

Shamsuzzoha is currently being interrogated in the police custody. He will be produced before the court after interrogation.  

Shamsuzzoha, son of Abdul Jabbar, resided from Kishamat Haldia village under Dhopadhanga union of Sundarganj upazila. 

On February 21 in 2017, police arrested MP Kader Khan in MP Liton murder case. Later he confessed the crime.

Earlier on December 3 last year, Ruling party MP Manjurul Islam Liton was shot dead at his home in Sundarganj.
