COMILLA: Police have submitted charge-sheet against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and 77 other people in two cases filed over the patrol bomb attack on a bus at Chouddagram in Comilla.

Sub-inspector (SI) of Chouddagram police station Mohammad Ibrahim submitted the charge-sheet in the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court of Comilla on Monday (March 06).  

BNP senior leaders MK Anwar and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Jamaat’s central leader Abdullah Mohammad Taher are among the accused in the cases. 

On February 3 in 2015, miscreants hurled petrol bomb on a plying bus at Miar Bazar area at Chouddagram at about 2:30am. At least 20 people were injured in the attack. Among them eight died.

Later, police filed two cases with the Chouddagram police station in this connection. Khaleda Zia was named as an instigator in both cases.
