DHAKA: Officer-in-charge (OC) of Comilla Sadar South model police station Nazrul Islam was withdrawn from the duty over the allegation of electoral irregularities.

The announcement was made through a press release of the Election Commission (EC) issued on Sunday (March 19).  

The release said the EC asked the authorities concerned to withdraw the OC by replacing a perfect police official in the post. The withdrawal order for Nazrul Islam was made on the occasion of Comilla City Corporation polls, the press release added.
