RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mayor Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul joined office again on Wednesday (April 5), three days after his suspension on April 2.  

RCC secretary Khondker Mahbubur Rahman handed over the mayoral responsibilities to him around 11:30pm. 

Earlier on Sunday (April 2), the ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and co-operatives (LGRD) suspended the RCC mayor temporarily within 10 minutes of his taking charges in the office. 

Later, on Tuesday (April 4), Bulbul filed a writ with the High Court challenging the legitimacy of the suspension order. After hearing, the court stayed the suspension order against him.
