Khaleda’s graft case hearing adjourned till May 18

DHAKA: A Dhaka court has fixed May 18 for placing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s self defence statement in the Zia Charitable graft case.

Judge Abu Ahmed Jomader of the Special Judge Court in Bakshibazar passed the order on Thursday (April 13).

Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar moved for Khaleda Zia in the court. He filed a petition of no confidence in judges seeking adjournment of the hearing.

The judge rejected the plea and asked BNP chief to file a transfer miscellaneous case with the High Court.

Earlier the court had set April 13 for placing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's self-defence statements in connection with the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case filed by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).
