DHAKA: The High Court on Thursday (April 13) gave a stay order on the proceedings of four sabotage cases filed against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
An HC bench comprising Justice M Miftah Uddin Chowdhury and Justice ANM Basir Ullah pronounced the order.
The court also issued a rule asking why it should not declare the act of taking chargesheets of those four cases into cognizance as illegal.
Senior lawyer AJ Mohammad Ali moved for Khaleda Zia in the court with the assistance of Joynul Abedin, Barrsiter AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Barrister Kaiser Kamal.
Deputy attorney general Sheikh AKM Moniruzzaman Kabir moved for the state.
