DHAKA: The BNP leaders at a rally have said that their party does politics for the change. The party leads for the change and it will reach its destination with success, they said.

The BNP leaders were speaking at a protest rally at the Dhaka Reporters Unity in the capital city on Sunday (April 16).

Swadhinata Forum, a pro-BNP organization, arranged the rally marking five years of the disappearance of BNP leader M Ilias Ali and demanding the safe return of the former BNP MP.

President of the organization Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah presided over the program, while BNP standing committee member Ameer Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, the party vice-chairmen Shamsuzzaman Dudu and Ahmed Azam Khan and joint secretary general Mujibur Rahman Sarwar spoke it, among others.

Addressing the rally, Shamsuzzaman Dudu said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will have to stand on the dock once if the government does not return Ilias Ali and other disappeared BNP leaders and workers.

He said that the BNP does politics for the change. The party will reach its destination soon, he added.

He criticized the government for planning to hold the next parliamentary elections under Sheikh Hasina. Any election won’t be allowed under the Awami League chief, he said.
