Particular party wants to make country militant-state: Kamal

DHAKA: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has commented that a particular party is hatching conspiracy to identify the country as militant-state in a bid to achieve their ill-motive.  

He made the comment at an anti-militancy and drug rally arranged on the premises of Govt Titumir College in the city on Saturday (April 29).

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP)’s Gulshan zone arranged the rally.

The minister said that there is no existence of Islamic State (IS) militant in the country. Some sites are hatching conspiracy against the country in the name of IS.

The law enforcers are working against militancy and their efforts will continue.

DMP commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia presided over the function, while inspector general of police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque and principal of Titumir College Abu Haider Ahmed Naser also addressed it, among others.
