4 BCL leaders expelled over in-fighting

LAKSHMIPUR: Four leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of ruling Awami League, were expelled for allegedly breaching party regulations in Lakshmipur. 

A press release signed by Rakib Hossain Lotus, general secretary of Lakshmipur Chhatra League and Chowdhury Mahmudunnabi Sohel, president of Lakshmipur Chhatra League confirmed the matter on Monday noon (May 1).

The expelled men are-- district BCL's sub-office affairs secretary Sebab Newaz, assistant secretary Palak Ahmad, member Pias Pathan and municipal BCL member Minhaj Alam Sajib.  

According to the press release, the four men were expelled temporarily for allegedly attacking and causing injuries to two other BCL activists in Lakshmipur city on Sunday night (April 30).
