Moudud loses house as per apex court verdict: Quader

DHAKA: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the government did not take away BNP leader Moudud Ahmed’s gulshan house; rather he had to leave the house as per the order of country’s apex court.

He made the remarks while addressing a conference organized by Tat League at Engineering Institute in Dhaka on Tuesday noon (June 14).

Mentioning Moudud’s defeat in court, Obaidur said, “You have defended yourself in court. You know very well that government did not oust you but the court ordered you to leave the house.”

Quader also raised a question to Moudud’s poor defending ability so that he had lost the case and eventually his house.

Also pointing out BNP’s hypocrisy, the minister said BNP is now running propaganda against court centering this issue as they have lost the case, but in the past they have repeatedly said our justice system is free and fair as they won then.

Quader also stated that those BNP leaders running these types of propaganda are nothing but pathological liars.
