DHAKA: The 16th session of the 10th Parliament, which is also the budget session for this year, will resume on Wednesday (June 28) after the Eid-ul-Fitr vacation.

The session will resume at 4:00 pm with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will take part in the general discussion on the proposed national budget for 2017-2018 fiscal year.

The budget will be passed on Thursday (June 29).

Earlier, Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah adjourned the 16th session on Thursday (June 22).

The session began on May 30.  Finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith placed the budget proposal for 2017-2018 fiscal in the Parliament on June 01.
