GAZIPUR: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed profound shock at the deaths in a blast in Multifabs Ltd in Gazipur that claimed 10 lives till Tuesday (July 4).

The BNP leader, in a message, said, “I’m deeply afflicted and shocked like the relatives of the victims in the boiler blast at Nayapara in Kashimpur on Monday night (July 3).”  

Fakhrul also prayed for salvation of the departed souls and early recovery of the inured in the incident. 

Expressing solidarity with the affected families, he requested the people irrespective of party and views to stand besides the victims.

However, a boiler of a garment factory of Multifabs Ltd exploded in Kashimpur Nayapara area of Gazipur on Monday evening and made the casualties.

A seven-member committee was formed to probe the incident.
